The English Premier League (Premier League, abbreviated as "EPL") is the highest tier of professional football under the Football Association of England, and was formerly known as the English First Division League. There are 20 teams participating in La Liga. Three teams have participated in all La Liga seasons so far: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao. La Liga is also the league that has produced the most Ballon d'Or winners and Footballers of the World. In the history of the league, the team that has won the most titles is Real Madrid with 36, followed by Barcelona with 27 and Athletic Madrid with 11.

The French Ligue 1 (Ligue 1) is the highest level of football in France, managed by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. Ligue 1 did not have a long history of dominance until the emergence of seven-time champions Lyon in 2001, and Paris Saint-Germain won 10 Ligue 1 titles in 12 years after 2012. Marseille won the first UEFA Champions League title in Ligue 1's history in the 1992/93 season, and Paris Saint-Germain won the first UEFA Champions League Champions. In addition Reims, Saint-Etienne, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain have reached the Champions League final.

The German Bundesliga (Bundesliga), the highest tier of German football, was established by the German Football Association on 28 July 1962 in Dortmund, starting in the 1963-64 season. As one of the top five leagues in Europe, the Bundesliga has been around for more than 60 years and has long been one of the football leagues with the highest average attendance in the world.
